West Bromwich Albion 1-2 West Ham

west bromwich albion

West Bromwich Albion drowned 323-minute goalless drought  in the 2-1 loss to West Ham on Tuesday at The Hawthorns.

Albion, who have not scored a goal since November 1, crawled out of their goalless ill-luck when Craig Dawson nodded in with Graham Dorran's free-kick.

West Brom's supposed victory was cut short with a 35th minute equaliser by West Ham's Kevin Nolan.

West Brom Coach Alvin Irvine's struggling club sagged to the bottom of the league table as Ham's James Tomkins increased his side's score by heading in Stewart Downing's corner.

Coach Alvin, who is still nursing his wounds after Saturday's 1-0 home loss to Arsenal, stated his hurt about his side's fourth straight defeat.

While West Ham holds to fifth place, West Brom moves to the back zone.

Chelsea won't sign new players - Jose Mourinho

Chelsea will make no signings in the January transfer window, says manager Jose Mourinho. The team has enough capable and balanced players to even out in the coming competitions. The Blues have six matches before January 1, with the first starting today against Hull City. Mourinho plans to rest his senior players for this Yuletide season, saying he is doubtful any one player should appear in all the six matches. The manager has granted his European-based players a two-day 'holiday' to rest and 'have a nice dinner with their families'. The former Real Madrid manager's side meets Hull City in the Premier league today. Petr Cech will replace injured skipper goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the Hull City face-off. Cesc Fabregas is ruled out for suspension and midfielder Nemanja Matic joins the squad after ban.
