Robin Van Persie leads United to fifth-straight victory

Robin van Persie's double score knifed Southampton apart and  fired Manchester United to third place on the Premier league table. United sneaked into a 2-1 win over Southampton at St. Mary on Monday after Netherland striker Persie's 12th minute goal was doubled at the 71th minute. Leading the opening goal, Van Persie took advantage of skipper Jose Fonte's error backpass, but Graziano Pelle pulled in a 31th minute equaliser which dragged the Saints back into the fight for victory. Van Persie followed in with a good use of Wayne Rooney's free-kick to seal the win for the United side.
