Pele has joked he is fit to
play in the Olympics following the Brazilian soccer great's discharge from the
hospital. The former New York cosmos striker was admitted into Albert Einstein
hospital on November 24 on account of urinary tract infection after a kidney
stones surgery done on him on November 13. Pele, 74, said he is well and ready
to appear in the 2016 Olympic football gold in Rio. The three-time World cup
winner who had a kidney removed in his final period as a player admitted the
sickness was unexpected but death was not a scare. Appreciating his fans and
friends, the Santos striker further joked: "Now I am preparing for the
Olympics. Three professionals can play in the Olympics and I'm one of the
three!"
Reports claim that Manchester City are plotting to make a move for talented French youngster forward Kylian Mbappe for £200 million. But City boss Pep Guardiola has come out to say in a news conference ahead of City's UCL clash with German club Hoffenheim that the move cannot happen. Here is what he said in the conference: "That is not going to happen," "Sometimes I don't understand where that news comes from."
