Jose Mourinho has rested
Captain John Terry, Eden Hazard and Willian ahead of Wednesday's game against
Sporting Lisbon at Stamford bridge. The Chelsea boss confirmed his squad need
to rejuvenate for the Christmas season. The Group G winner and Premier league
leader who finally lost their unbeaten run to Newscastle on Saturday rested the
trio stars from Tuesday's training in preparation for their next clash. The
trio will return to feature in Saturday's match against Hull City. Mourinho,
who has guided his team to victory in 24 games this season, admitted he wished
to give time-off to the entire squad but the Blues still have more face-offs
this December.
Reports claim that Manchester City are plotting to make a move for talented French youngster forward Kylian Mbappe for £200 million. But City boss Pep Guardiola has come out to say in a news conference ahead of City's UCL clash with German club Hoffenheim that the move cannot happen. Here is what he said in the conference: "That is not going to happen," "Sometimes I don't understand where that news comes from."
