Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Spurs' Roberto Soldado scored his first goal since March 2 in the Tottenham 2-1 against Everton. The opening goal by Everton's Kevin Mirallas was equalised six minutes later by a brilliant score from Christian Eriksen. Goalkeeper Gary Howard pushed back Harry Kane's shot right towards waiting Soldado who returned the ball past Gareth Barry into the net. Everton went down 10th place and Spur moved up seventh.

Mourinho returned to press conference duties after serving a self-imposed ban after comments he made after their 1-1 draw with Southampton on December 28 led to an FA charge, which he confirmed he is appealing against.
