Man United closes gap on Southampton

Manchester United inched closer to Southampton to one point in the 2-1 victory against Stoke on Tuesday. Marouane Fellaini's opening goal for the hosts was levelled by Steven Nzonzi with a splendid volley before the first half was gone. Juan Mata pulled home a superb free-kick that barely touched Marcos Rojo, leaving the latter to celebrate like he was the goal scorer. Both claimed winner to the 59th minute goal but all knew Juan was the true striker. The victory, which had captain Wayne Rooney sidelined for injury, fetched the fourth victory in the Premier league for United.
