Pellegrini wants on-loan
midfielder Frank Lampard to grind it out with Man City until the end of this
season. With Ivory Coast International Yaya Toure out to represent his country
in the Africa Cup of Nations from early January, City's boss wants the New York
City star, Lampard, to extend his stay with the sister club. Pelligrini is
convinced that the 36-year-old who has witnessed no defeat for City each time
he appeared this season will be very useful to City till the expiration of his
services by December ending. Frank Lampard joined the Major League Soccer club,
New York City, from Chelsea at last season's end and is expected to return to
training ahead of MLS first season games in March.
Reports claim that Manchester City are plotting to make a move for talented French youngster forward Kylian Mbappe for £200 million. But City boss Pep Guardiola has come out to say in a news conference ahead of City's UCL clash with German club Hoffenheim that the move cannot happen. Here is what he said in the conference: "That is not going to happen," "Sometimes I don't understand where that news comes from."
