UEFA President Michel
Platini urged FIFA president Sepp Blatter to give up the office to save the
soiled image of the football governing body. Platini, who claimed to have
supported Blatter in 1998, said the body needs some fresh air and someone else
who can rectify the consistent corruption allegations that has been characteristic
of Sepp's tenure. He vowed to not back Sepp and fellow candidate Jerome
Champagne in the May 2015 elections. And neither would he vie in the coming
election, but would rather prefer to back anyone else besides Blatter and
Champagne.
Reports claim that Manchester City are plotting to make a move for talented French youngster forward Kylian Mbappe for £200 million. But City boss Pep Guardiola has come out to say in a news conference ahead of City's UCL clash with German club Hoffenheim that the move cannot happen. Here is what he said in the conference: "That is not going to happen," "Sometimes I don't understand where that news comes from."
