The Dirt on Arsene Wenger

funny arsene wenger

Born on October 22, 1949 in Strasbourg, Bas-Rhin, France, Arsene sold his soul to Arsenal since 1996.

He was earlier rejected by AC Milan with the complaint that he looked like a schoolmaster and has since gained the nickname "Le Professeur" in England.

He was appointed by David Dain to be Gunner's boss after a move from AS Monaco. He led Arsenal to a Premier league victory in his first season as boss. Under his helm, the Gunners have earned three FA Premier league titles; 1998, 2002, 2004 respectively.

He is lauded for his love for football, and about him Former Liverpool manager Gerard Houlier said Arsene Wenger has the ability to eat, talk, sleep and drink football, and then come back for more.

He has a daughter with former basketballer Annie Brosterhous, speaks English, French, German and a bit of Japanese, Italian, and Spanish.

He is reputed as having an eye for talent, nurtures them and is the first coach to lead his club through a Premier League season unbeaten.

And in this season's competition, however, the Gunners has sucked up more defeats than their pockets can carry, including a disgraceful 3-2 loss to Stoke last Saturday.

As Arsene Wenger suffers boos and insults from fans, who wish him out of Arsenal's helm anyway, it is hoped (read: rumoured) that the Gunner's boss will not chicken out of his long-held office after this Premier League season.

Or what do you think?

Hull City Manager chides Tottenham's Jan Vertonghen following Spurs' 2-1 win

Following Spurs' 2-1 win over Hull City, City manager Steve Bruce lashed out at Tottenham's Jan Vertonghen for exaggerating to get Hull City's Ramirez Gaston red-carded. Bruce castigated such act as unhealthy for the Premier League. The Uruguayan midfielder Ramirez got the red card for kicking at Belgian Jan Vertonghen. Bruce argued his man only showed "petulance" when he was provoked by Jan. And such behaviour could not be regarded as "violent". The City went down when Tottenham's Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen found the net in the game's second half. Speaking with his news conference, Bruce said, "Ramirez has shown petulance. Vertonghen has had a little go at him, and Ramirez has flicked out. The law says it is a violent conduct. For me, it is an act of petulance -- it is not violent conduct." Via espn
