Roy Keane leaves Aston Villa

Assistant boss Roy Keane has left Aston Villa. He gave up the role to retain similar position as Martin O'Neill's assistant at the Republic of Island. Roy, 43, became Paul Lambert's assistant in July this year. The former Sunderland and Ipswich manager also said he could no longer manage the role with his young family. "Ultimately, my roles with Villa and Ireland and combining my commitment to these have become too much. It isn't fair to either Villa or Ireland, so I've made this decision," Keane said.
