Real Madrid Will Retain Sami Khedira – Carlo Ancelotti

Real Madrid will retain Sami Khedira beyond next season, says Carlo Ancelotti. This counters the Real player's rumored move to Bayern Munich. While Spanish report claims Sami has signed a pre-agreement contract with Bayern, the 27-year-old is yet to sign an extension contract with the Real though his contract ends next summer. Khedira had months earlier been rumored to likely move to Arsenal. Still, Ancelotti believes the young player will remain with the Bernabeu club. "The club wants him [Khedira] to sign a contract extension,'' Ancelotti told Spanish radio station RNE. "We consider him a reliable player, who is serious and professional."
