"Gerrard still my best player' - Brendan Rodgers

source: theguardian.com

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers supports Steven Gerrard as the best player he's worked with following the criticism of the skipper's performances this season. The 34-year-old who retired from England this summer, has 176 goals in 685 Liverpool appearances. Liverpool has lost 4 games, places 12th in the Premier League, and is uncertain to reach the knockout stage in Champions League. The club will be exited if after losing to Ludogorets Razgrad on Wednesday, Basel defeats Real Madrid who have made it to the last 16.
