Germany beats Spain 1-0


Last night's game between the World Cup winners, Germany and Spain proved be a very tough one until Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos struck an outside shot into the back of the Spanish net in the 88th minute.

Kroos' thunderous shot was the only goal in the game. The 25-yard strike resulted in a disappointed Spanish side.

Furore over the Marseille sales of Didier Drogba and Samir Nasri into Chelsea and Arsenal respectively escalated to more arrests on Tuesday. The people arrested are: Current OM president Vincent Labrune, and his two predecessors, Jean-Claude Dassier and Pape Diouf. According to ESPN, these are among around a dozen people being questioned by police over commission and alleged illicit payments made on transfers involving the Ligue 1 outfit.
