President Josep Maria Bartomeu claims Messi is 'the greatest player in football history'. Messi recorded his 253th goal in 5-1 win against Sevilla on Saturday; making him the highest goal scorer in La Liga since 1955. The FC Barcelona President always thought the record would come, and expressed his happiness to see Messi achieve it for himself and his club. Messi has a record of 368 goals for Barcelona, 45 goals for Argentina, and remains a four-time world player of the year, even at age 27. Barcelona has been his only senior club. Barca boss Luis Enrique maintains that Messi will most likely exceed the 253 goal record to make it unreachable for anyone.

Every violation comes with a corresponding fine, ask Benjamin Mendy. Pep plans to repeat his outstanding triumph like he did last season.
