Barcelona Lionel Messi topped his goal record with 3 more in the win against Apoel Nicosia yesterday. Luis Suarez scored the opening goal for Barca at 27 minutes. By 38th minute, Messi, 27, netted Barca's second with a shot and his 58th minute goal hit home with a close range tap. Messi is 3 goals ahead of former Real Madrid forward Raul's 71 goals. The Argentine has 74 Champions League goals in 91 appearances compared to Raul's 71 goals in 142 matches. Manager Luis Enrique praised his striker for this striking achievement, calling him "the best ever" in the game. With an amazing 4-0 against Apoel Nicosia, Barca secured three points and maintain second in Group F with only one game to go.
