Modric out for 3-4 months with thigh injury


Luka Modric, 29, has been ruled out for a minimum of 12 weeks following an injury on the thigh.

The Croatian International who has been a regular starting player and a formidable midfielder for the European Champions was injured during the match between Croatia and Italy on Sunday. According to Real Madrid's official website, it has been confirmed that "a tear of the left proximal rectus femoris tendon has been found". With Modric's absence, Illaramendi has a chance to register his presence in the White's starting XI. Can Illaramendi deliver on that level?
