WEEKEND UPDATES: MANCHESTER UNITED IN EPIC DRAW WITH WEST HAM

Manchester United have fallen to yet another draw in the EPL this season and in the process have fallen 10 points behind league leaders Chelsea. After the first half ended 1-1 with goals from Diafra Sakho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the second half failed to sparkle.

United's momentum from the first half was missing and even the introduction of Rooney and Mkhitaryan failed to liven up United's attack as West Ham defended in numbers.

Jesse Lingard had a goal correctly ruled out after he knocked in a rebound after Mkhitaryan's shot was parried on to the post by Randall. The United winger was clearly offside. Randall was very good and made 7 saves, including from a late Pogba effort.

West Ham also had a good chance when United Academy graduate Ashley Fletcher had a pop from close range but De Gea stood firm.

Ultimately, Mourinho's side have drawn 4 consecutive games at home for the first time in the Premier League era and one wonders whether United's title ambitions are all but over.

Chelsea won't sign new players - Jose Mourinho

Chelsea will make no signings in the January transfer window, says manager Jose Mourinho. The team has enough capable and balanced players to even out in the coming competitions. The Blues have six matches before January 1, with the first starting today against Hull City. Mourinho plans to rest his senior players for this Yuletide season, saying he is doubtful any one player should appear in all the six matches. The manager has granted his European-based players a two-day 'holiday' to rest and 'have a nice dinner with their families'. The former Real Madrid manager's side meets Hull City in the Premier league today. Petr Cech will replace injured skipper goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the Hull City face-off. Cesc Fabregas is ruled out for suspension and midfielder Nemanja Matic joins the squad after ban.
