BARCELONA MISS MESSI, FAILS TO SECURE 3 POINTS

Before yesterday's game, Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets said the absence of Lionel Messi wasn't a excuse for Barcelona not to win against Malaga. But after the game, though the absence of the star Argentine shouldn't have been an excuse, it still was quite obvious that the cutting edge of the Barcelona weapon was blunted without the 29-year old Lionel Messi.

According to Barcelona, Messi developed vomiting. You can read the previous post on this here

Neymar was the only one present in the Heroic MSN combo. With Messi out due to vomiting illness and Suarez out due to suspension, Neymar was left alone to take on the enegetic defense of the Malaga and the quick-responsed Cameroonian goal keeper,  Kameni.

Neymar was brilliant as he ensured he did his best the create chances and also take shots at goal. Pique was also tremendous with set pieces and Mascherano did well to get beautiful crosses in. Despite those efforts, Barcelona wasn't able to get the ball to the back of the net. Kameni literally "saved" the day for the away team.

But altogether, could you say it all was because Messi was absent?
