Rooney was away against Spain with a knee injury and everyone would have expected that the 31-year old England Captain would have been resting and trying to recuperate.

But to the contrary, some images were taken and published of a drunk Rooney at a wedding party

Rooney has since tendered his apology and said, "those images were inappropriate for someone in his position".

He also went on to say, "He would like to further extend his apology to any young fans who have seen this pictures."

The City went down when Tottenham's Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen found the net in the game's second half. Speaking with his news conference, Bruce said, "Ramirez has shown petulance. Vertonghen has had a little go at him, and Ramirez has flicked out. The law says it is a violent conduct. For me, it is an act of petulance -- it is not violent conduct." Via espn
