MOURINNHO SAYS, "I DIDN'T USE ROONEY BECAUSE HE WASN'T FAST ENOUGH"

According to Mirror Football, Mourinho dropped a shocker to the public on the reason he didn't use Wayne Rooney in the starting line-up against Arsenal during the weekend.

Mourinho said, "I put him on the bench because he isn't fast enough"

Mourinho said he didn't think Rooney had the pace for a team like Arsenal.

Although Mata scored five minutes after Rooney was brought in as a substitute, he still couldn't make his win. Rooney had a difficult time during the week as everyone was talking about the drinking and partying.
