According to Sky Sports, Yaya Toure said he always knew that Guardiola would soon need him.

After three months of forced hiatus, the Ivorian was played in the starting line-up against Crystal Palace and scored twice. After his first goal, Crystal Palace equalized. Toure then scored again giving Manchester City the lead. Safe to say, he proved his point to Pep Guardiola.
