Will Tim Sherwood get off to a winning start as Aston Villa manager?

His ability to man-motivate came to the fore last weekend as Villa, inspired by his half-time team-talk, raced into the quarter finals of the FA Cup.

However, having orchestrated their passage into the last eight of the cup, Sherwood’s attention now switches to his primary objective at Villa Park – keeping them in the Premier League.
Sherwood got his short-lived managerial career at Spurs off to a losing start but will fancy his chances against a Stoke side smarting from their FA Cup fifth-round exit to Blackburn.
