Agent Defends Cristiano Ronaldo Despite woeful Performance

The agent of Cristiano Ronaldo has defended the Real Madrid star over his performance in defeat to Atletico Madrid.

For many, Ronaldo was the worst player on the pitch.
The former Manchester United star has scored 28 goals and set up nine more in 19 league appearances to help Real lead the Primera Division standings.
"It's very difficult to be Cristiano, honestly," Jorge Mendes said. "In life, there are good times and times when things don't go as well.
"The problem is that Cristiano has accustomed people badly because 99 per cent of the times he does extremely well.
"He decides games, he does everything.
"But when he goes through a spell when things don't go as well, people should stand behind him because we are talking about the best player in the world.
"He is a human being.
"I'm very calm because he is the best professional.
"Cristiano throughout these years has been an example to everyone and will continue to be.
"Cristiano will solve the situation as he always does."

Chelsea won't sign new players - Jose Mourinho

Chelsea will make no signings in the January transfer window, says manager Jose Mourinho. The team has enough capable and balanced players to even out in the coming competitions. The Blues have six matches before January 1, with the first starting today against Hull City. Mourinho plans to rest his senior players for this Yuletide season, saying he is doubtful any one player should appear in all the six matches. The manager has granted his European-based players a two-day 'holiday' to rest and 'have a nice dinner with their families'. The former Real Madrid manager's side meets Hull City in the Premier league today. Petr Cech will replace injured skipper goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the Hull City face-off. Cesc Fabregas is ruled out for suspension and midfielder Nemanja Matic joins the squad after ban.
