Luka Modric continues recovery from thigh injury Resumes Training

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric stepped up his recovery from injury on Friday as the La Liga.

Leaders trained at their Valdebebas training base ahead of Sunday's league clash at Elche.

Carlo Ancelotti was given a huge boost by Modric's return to training on Thursday, following three months on the sidelines with a thigh injury.

Real have missed the control the Croatian brings to the team in the middle of the park,

most notably getting overpowered by City neighbours Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey, crashing out of the competition by virtue of a 4-2 aggregate defeat.
