Napoli thrashed Trabzonspor 4-0 in the first-leg of their Europa League tie.
Henrique, Gonzalo Higuain, Manolo Gabbiadini and Duvan Zapata all struck in the rout.
"It wasn’t easy. We decided to keep playing the same tempo even after going 3-0 up,” Benitez told Mediaset Premium.
“We also got a fourth goal and I am satisfied. We did well throughout the game and were in complete control.”
He added: “We made mistakes in Palermo, but the overall performance was good. Today we did everything right. Let’s not forget we were consistent with four consecutive victories and only lost at Palermo.
“We still lack the maturity to play every game well. It’s an issue of experience and being accustomed to victory. We’re still growing.”
