LIVERPOOL CONTRACT OFFER FALLS WELL SHORT OF STERLING DEMANDS

Liverpool's new contract talks with Raheem Sterling are expected to run to the end of the season.

The midfielder has been offered in excess of £100,000-a-week by the Reds.
But the Telegraph says it remains unclear if there will be a resolution before the end of this season.
The Reds have been negotiating with Sterling’s agent, Aidy Ward, since October. Ward is pursuing considerably more than the current Liverpool proposal.
Sterling's agent is in the process of splitting from former partner Rob Segal, which is also thought to have complicated recent talks.
