Did Liverpool or Southampton do the better business in the close season?

Many thought that Southampton would be fighting relegation by now after selling Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert to Liverpool for £50million in the summer.

But with some shrewd buys like Graziano Pelle and Saido Mane and by keeping Morgan Schneiderlin, Ronald Koeman’s men have proved the doubters wrong by sitting in the top four for most of the season.
Liverpool haven’t lost in normal time in their last 17 games but Southampton only have the league to occupy them as they aim for the Champions League. And you wouldn’t bet against them trying to prove their ex-players wrong at St. Mary’s on Saturday afternoon.
