West Ham’s Mark Noble signs new long-term with the Londoners

The long-serving player has been consistent in the side, and was somewhat close to getting an England call-up last season due to his fine form.

Noble has been a mainstay at the heart of the midfield due to his combative displays and impressive wide range of passing. The 27-year-old is vice captain of the London club, and is a two-time Hammer of the year. West Ham co-owner David Gold praised the experienced midfielder on Twitter, and Noble himself gave words on the new contract.

“I'm very happy with the contract and very grateful to the chairmen for giving me it and I'm looking forward to the next five years. I love playing football and I love playing for the club so to be rewarded with a new five-and-a-half-year contract is fantastic,” he said.

After making his debut in 2004, Noble has since made over 300 appearances for West Ham United. He revealed his delight to commit his future to the club, and is hoping to stamp his name in the history books. He joined West Ham as a 13-year-old, working his way through the academy before becoming a regular in the side, while the landscape around him changed. With fewer one-club players in the Premier League, Noble is one who has grown from strength to strength in the last few years.
