Tunisia move into first place in FIFA Africa Rankings after 15 years

Tunisia has moved up to the first place in the FIFA World Rankings for the African zone. Tunisia last occupied the first position in January 2002.

Tunisia currently lead Congo DR by three points in Group A and need one point from a home fixture to secure their ticket to the World Cup and finishing first in Group A. Egypt, Senegal, Congo DR, and Nigeria occupy second to fifth respectively.
