It has been confirmed that Ribery will be out for several months following a torn lateral ligament. Ribery picked up the injury on Sunday during a game against Hertha Berlin when he stepped on the ball and twisted his knee in an awkward way. This is a dire situation for Bayern Munich as Ribery stands as one of the engines of Bayern Munich.
