Messi takes glucose tablet on pitch as he fires Barcelona into comfortable 3-1 win over Olympiacos in UEFA Champions League




Once again, Lionel Messi was instrumental in securing Barcelona's win against Olympiacos. But reports have claimed that Messi seemed to have removed something from his sock and put in his mouth but cameras could not see it.

Reports claim that a Catalunya Radio journalist claimed the object was a glucose tablet. He claims that it was the best time to take the tablet as "before the first 15 minutes of physical effort is when the muscles are most receptive."

Well, it sure helped Messi!
