Newcastle United sale draw closer as Amanda Staveley's firm sign confidential agreement with Newcastle owners




According to Sky Sports, Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley had put the club up for sale and hopes a deal is completed by Christmas. Amanda Staveley, who runs investment company PCP Capital Partners is said to be very interested in buying the club.

As at Thursday, the sale of Newcastle United drew closer as Amanda's firm signed a confidentiality agreement with the club owners. PCP Capital Partners will now begin a period of due diligence of club finances.
