Report: David Moyes interested in vacant manager's job at Aston Villa

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes is reportedly interested in talking to Aston Villa about taking on the vacant manager's job.

The Scotsman, who took charge of the Spanish club last year following a failed 10-month spell at Manchester United, is said to be on Villa's shortlist of candidates.

The Premier League club are hunting for a new manager after sacking Tim Sherwood on Sunday following nine league games without a win.

According to the Daily Mail, Moyes is interested in the job, but Villa are keeping their options open as they plan to hold talks with Lyon coach Remi Garde.

Moyes's Sociedad have been lingering near the bottom of La Liga, but they received a boost at the weekend by sealing a 4-0 win over Levante.
