Atletico Madrid 1-1 Real Madrid - Karim Benzema scores his seventh goal in eight games for Real Madrid

Real Madrid missed out on the chance to go top of La Liga as Atletico scored late on to snatch a point in the Madrid derby.
 
Karim Benzema's early goal looked like it would be enough to snatch all three points at the Vicente Calderon after Real keeper Keylor Navas made a sensational penalty stop from Antoine Griezmann. But Luciano Vietto's 84th minute strike earned Atletico a deserved point against their arch rivals.

Furore over the Marseille sales of Didier Drogba and Samir Nasri into Chelsea and Arsenal respectively escalated to more arrests on Tuesday. The people arrested are: Current OM president Vincent Labrune, and his two predecessors, Jean-Claude Dassier and Pape Diouf. According to ESPN, these are among around a dozen people being questioned by police over commission and alleged illicit payments made on transfers involving the Ligue 1 outfit.
