Arsenal 2-0 Bayern Munich:

Arsenal are up and running in Group F of the Champions League after a famous 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich.
 Substitute Olivier Giroud bundled the Gunners in front on 76 minutes in a game that was dominated by goalkeeping brilliance from Petr Cech and Manuel Neuer. 

With Bayern chasing a late equaliser, Arsenal doubled their lead in stoppage time as Mesut Ozil finished off a counter attack.

After defeats in Croatia against Dinamo Zagreb and at home to Olympiakos in their opening two games of the competition, Arsenal now are back in the hunt for qualification from the group stage

Furore over the Marseille sales of Didier Drogba and Samir Nasri into Chelsea and Arsenal respectively escalated to more arrests on Tuesday. The people arrested are: Current OM president Vincent Labrune, and his two predecessors, Jean-Claude Dassier and Pape Diouf. According to ESPN, these are among around a dozen people being questioned by police over commission and alleged illicit payments made on transfers involving the Ligue 1 outfit. The probe,which began in 2011, is being investigated in France. Via espn
