Darmstadt 0-3 Bayern Munich: Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman seals win for Bavarians

Bayern Munich extended their winning start in the Bundesliga to five games by beating Darmstadt 3-0 at the Bollenfalltor.

The Bavarians' two summer recruits from Juventus - Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman - both opened their accounts for the season, before Sebastian Rode supplied the third for Pep Guardiola's league leaders.

Bayern will now wait to see if Dortmund can respond with a victory against Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday.

Their nearest challengers last season, Wolfsburg, ensured they did not lose any further ground with a 2-0 win over Hertha Berlin taking them up to third in the standings, four points adrift of Bayern.

Bas Dost netted his fifth brace in 2015 inside the last 14 minutes - the second was a penalty, his first in the Bundesliga. Julian Draxler also impressed for the Wolves, who appear to have put the losses of Kevin De Bruyne and Ivan Perisic behind them.

Chelsea won't sign new players - Jose Mourinho

Chelsea will make no signings in the January transfer window, says manager Jose Mourinho. The team has enough capable and balanced players to even out in the coming competitions. The Blues have six matches before January 1, with the first starting today against Hull City. Mourinho plans to rest his senior players for this Yuletide season, saying he is doubtful any one player should appear in all the six matches. The manager has granted his European-based players a two-day 'holiday' to rest and 'have a nice dinner with their families'. The former Real Madrid manager's side meets Hull City in the Premier league today. Petr Cech will replace injured skipper goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the Hull City face-off. Cesc Fabregas is ruled out for suspension and midfielder Nemanja Matic joins the squad after ban.
