Liverpool Owner has debunked rumours of Liverpool being sold to a Chinese company

According to ESPN, Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) had ignored a takeover bid from Chinese consortium The Sinofortone Group back in February.

Liverpool chairman Tom Werner insisted in August that Liverpool was not for sale but that they were willing to sell a small share in the club.

"We've said it before and I'd like to say it again: this club is not for sale," Werner told the Liverpool Echo.
