Breaking News: FIFA to test Video Assistants for the First Time.

History is about to be made today as the FIFA Club World Cup is going to kick off with a new technology in Japan from December 8th to 18th.

During the Club World Cup in Japan, the referees will be using video replays to assist them in making decisions on the field of play.

According to FIFA website, the FIFA's chief officer technical development Marco van Basten said, "This represents a big step forward in terms of testing the technology,"

"We feel well prepared after setting everything up.... At the same time, it's important to remember that we are entering somewhat uncharted territory here, given that we are going live for the first time.

"Ultimately, these tests should prove invaluable in terms of determining whether the processes are sound or whether any further refinements are needed."
