It is bound to be this way when you are the best player in the world, decorated with all awards that the Football World has to offer. The pressure from fans, teammates, and yourself sometimes is a difficult thing to manage.

Ronaldo was dispossessed a few times and missed some passes but instead of patience from the Madrid fans, they booed and whistled at him.

Former teammate Iker Casillas has come out to defend Cristiano Ronaldo...

Casillas has tried to air his opinions and pass a crucial message to the Real Madrid fans that Ronaldo should be praised not humiliated seeing his contribution to the club so far.

He said, "If he scores two or three goals a game, that is just what he is supposed to do. It is madness. You must help him -- have people around him and the club who help to protect the players. He must continue trying to be the player he is, the best in the world."
