Germany vs. Netherlands friendly cancelled after stadium in Hannover evacuated

The international friendly between Germany and the Netherlands has been cancelled after the HDI stadium in Hannover was evacuated over security concerns.The two fierce rivals were due to go head to head in a non-competitive match this evening, but police have confirmed that the game will no longer take place.According to AP, the authorities have begun evacuating people from the stadium over security concerns after a suspicious suitcase was found near the stadium.It has also been reported by DW Sports that trains travelling away from the stadium have been stopped and people have been told to leave the venue on foot.Fears have been heightened over the last few days after 129 people were killed by terrorists in six separate locations in Paris last Friday.The Stade de France was one venue targeted as three suicide bombers blew themselves up outside of the ground when the national team were playing Germany in an international friendly.Last night, the friendly between Belgium and Spain in Brussels was cancelled as the country is at a high risk of threat after French investigators discovered that one of the people involved in last week's attacks is a Belgian national.

Argentine Footballer dies after attack

33-year-old Argentine footballer, Franco Neito, fell dead after taking a stone hit to his head following an attack from three hooligans. The Tiro Federal club captain was nailed down after the match against Chacarita Juniors in Aimogasta, north-west Argentina. The victim was operated  on on Tuesday but died on Wednesday. Report confirms Argentina has recorded 15 deaths in football-related violence this year.  The country continues to sit in the mud following football-related violence activities often perpetrated by so-called Barras Bravas gangs - radical supporters who have caused over 256 deaths in Argentine football up to August 2012.
