Arjen Robben to become Manchester United's first signing in January?

Manchester United are reportedly close to sealing a move for Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben.
The Dutchman, who played under United manager Louis van Gaal at international level, has been linked to the Red Devils in the past.

This time, though, Bild reports that Robben is seriously considering his future with the Bundesliga giants due to his frayed relationship with Robert Lewandowski.
Reports have claimed that the pair have fallen out after the prolific striker accused Robben of hogging possession.

According to Fijaches, the rift could cause Robben to leave the German giants, with United heavily expected to clinch his signature when the transfer window reopens in January.
The 31-year-old has been at Bayern since 2009.

Chelsea won't sign new players - Jose Mourinho

Chelsea will make no signings in the January transfer window, says manager Jose Mourinho. The team has enough capable and balanced players to even out in the coming competitions. The Blues have six matches before January 1, with the first starting today against Hull City. Mourinho plans to rest his senior players for this Yuletide season, saying he is doubtful any one player should appear in all the six matches. The manager has granted his European-based players a two-day 'holiday' to rest and 'have a nice dinner with their families'. The former Real Madrid manager's side meets Hull City in the Premier league today. Petr Cech will replace injured skipper goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the Hull City face-off. Cesc Fabregas is ruled out for suspension and midfielder Nemanja Matic joins the squad after ban.
