Arsenal "will attack" Bayern Munich

Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista has insisted that the Gunners will attack Bayern Munich when they face the German champions at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Arsene Wenger's side beat Pep Guardiola's team 2-0 on October 20 to reignite their European campaign after previously losing to both Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos.Despite admitting that they will have to alter their style when they visit Munich,Gabriel is adamant that Arsenal see themselves as a big enough team to hurt Bayern on German turf."When we play away, we also have to have a slightly different outlook, but that does not mean that we will spend the whole game defending," the Daily Mail quotes the Brazilian as saying.

"We are a big team, we are Arsenal and we need to attack because we need the result, but we need to attack with intelligence and make sure that we do not suffer a defeat and complicate our situation for the rest of our competition. Everything is possible in football."We know the difficulties that we are going to find. Bayern are an excellent team playing at home with the fans on their side, so it will be a big challenge. If we are as determined as we have been over the last few years, I believe that we can go there and get a great result."Arsenal are currently bottom of Group F on goal difference, but are just three points behind group leaders Bayern.

Hull City Manager chides Tottenham's Jan Vertonghen following Spurs' 2-1 win

Following Spurs' 2-1 win over Hull City, City manager Steve Bruce lashed out at Tottenham's Jan Vertonghen for exaggerating to get Hull City's Ramirez Gaston red-carded. Bruce castigated such act as unhealthy for the Premier League. The Uruguayan midfielder Ramirez got the red card for kicking at Belgian Jan Vertonghen. Bruce argued his man only showed "petulance" when he was provoked by Jan. And such behaviour could not be regarded as "violent". The City went down when Tottenham's Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen found the net in the game's second half. Speaking with his news conference, Bruce said, "Ramirez has shown petulance. Vertonghen has had a little go at him, and Ramirez has flicked out. The law says it is a violent conduct. For me, it is an act of petulance -- it is not violent conduct." Via espn
