Chelsea captain John Terry: 'We want to be loved'

Chelsea captain John Terry has admitted that he and his teammates just "want to be loved" by the outside world. The current Premier League champions have had a dire season so far, having won just three of their 11 fixtures. There have been reports that one first-team player is leading a revolt against manager Jose Mourinho, but that has been denied.Ahead of the Blues' Champions League match against Dynamo Kiev this evening, Terry has claimed that he wants the rest of the world to get behind Chelsea.

"You listen and observe things that happen on the outside, for sure," The Mirror quotes Terry as saying. "That's where I want to be - we don't want to be fighting the world."You want to be loved, as an individual and as a club for what we've achieved in the game. We want grown-up, men's conversations with the referees. You can have those conversations."You want to be honest and open, deal with the bad and the good, and move forward. We want to be up there fighting for Premier Leagues, fighting for Champions League, and to be loved around the world. Not just in England."In the Premier League, Chelsea are currently 15th in the table.

Chelsea won't sign new players - Jose Mourinho

Chelsea will make no signings in the January transfer window, says manager Jose Mourinho. The team has enough capable and balanced players to even out in the coming competitions. The Blues have six matches before January 1, with the first starting today against Hull City. Mourinho plans to rest his senior players for this Yuletide season, saying he is doubtful any one player should appear in all the six matches. The manager has granted his European-based players a two-day 'holiday' to rest and 'have a nice dinner with their families'. The former Real Madrid manager's side meets Hull City in the Premier league today. Petr Cech will replace injured skipper goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the Hull City face-off. Cesc Fabregas is ruled out for suspension and midfielder Nemanja Matic joins the squad after ban.
