Hottest Football News: Angel Di Maria receives 1-year sentence with fine of over €1 million




Argentine and PSG winger Angel Di Maria has pled guilty to tax fraud in Spain. He was given a one-year sentence and will pay a total of €2 million in fines and back-taxes.

According to Spanish prosecutors, the 29-year old failed to declare €1.298 million in earnings between 2012 and 2013 while he played for Real Madrid, by ceding his image rights to an offshore company, Sunpex Corporation Inc, based in Panama.
