Court likely to replace Lionel Messi 21-month prison sentence with €400-a-day fine for the rest of his time

Lionel Messi's lawyers have proposed that Messi's 21-month prison sentence for tax fraud be replaced with a €400 per day fine for the rest of his sentence. This will total around €255,500. And same was proposed for Messi's father which would amount to €180,000.

Spanish prosecutors say they are happy that Messi's sentence was replaced with a fine. A judge is expected to now make the final decision.
