Alexis Sanchez breaks Chile goal scoring record




Sanchez scored in yesterday's FIFA Confed Cup match against Germany and broke Chile's goal scoring record. He broke Marcelo Salas' record of 37 goals in a 13 year national career.

Sanchez has now scored 38 goals in an 11-year national career (2006 till date).

Furore over the Marseille sales of Didier Drogba and Samir Nasri into Chelsea and Arsenal respectively escalated to more arrests on Tuesday. The people arrested are: Current OM president Vincent Labrune, and his two predecessors, Jean-Claude Dassier and Pape Diouf. According to ESPN, these are among around a dozen people being questioned by police over commission and alleged illicit payments made on transfers involving the Ligue 1 outfit.
