According to reports, Newscastle are of interest to a major Chinese consortium. It is understood that the owner of Newscastle Mike Ashley has reportedly tried to sell the club years ago but was unable. Now he is considering all the options he has on ground.

Although according to the The Daily Telegraph, Ashley believes no one can meet up with the £400 million price tag he placed on the club
