KPMG (one of the top 4 auditing companies in the world) have declared Real Madrid and Manchester United the most valuable clubs in the world.

According to KPMG, at the end of the 2015-16 season Real Madrid and Manchester United were estimated to be worth €2.9billion ($3.1billion) each.

The KPMG Head of Sports Network Jean-Luc Leroux revealed that the criteria included the popularity of clubs with their number of followers on social media, their sporting potential given the value of their players...

TV rights, and their ownership situation, notably of the stadiums.

Barcelona came in third with €2.8billion and Bayern Munich fourth with €2.2billion. And Arsenal came at fifth position with €1.7billion.
