Tim Sherwood needs Christian Benteke and Gabriel Agbonlahor to find their shooting boots

Intelligent enough to learn from his excesses in the Spurs dugout, he nevertheless retains his enthusiasm and motivational skills and might just mastermind enough upsets
in the run-in to get Villa over the line.

Their squad is such that really much better was expected of them this season and their quality may yet be their salvation
this season. Fabian Delph continues to come into his own and
Christian Benteke may have rediscovered his goalscoring
boots just in time.

But throughout the season, Villa have proved themselves to
be completely incapable of finding the back of the net. Only
Sunderland's ineptitude have saved them from an even more
embarrassing " goals for" tally.
Christian Benteke and Gabriel Agbonlahor have not become
bad players overnight and they have the ability to come
good before the end of the season. And they better had.
The other 23 members of their squad have just eight goals
between them all.

Their run-in is brutal. Home to Manchester United this week
and a revenge mission for Tim Sherwood to Spurs the week
after. In between a must-win match against his former aide
Chris Ramsey's QPR side. Manchester City , Everton, West
Ham and Southampton all lie dangerously in wait. Burnley at
home could be the crucial decider at the end of the
campaign.
