Roma willing to pay over £3m a season for Man Utd defensive target Gregory van der Wiel

The PSG right-back is expected to leave the French champions this summer after reportedly falling out with manager Laurent Blanc.

United are known suitors of the Dutchman, who played under
Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal when the boss was
Netherlands head coach.
He reportedly takes home almost £3million a season in wages
at PSG and the club are seeking to sell him in order to
reduce costs to fall in line with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play
rules.
That is according to Italian media site Tuttomercatoweb , who
claim Roma are ready to spend this summer to help bolster
their Champions League ambitions and are aware Van der
Wiel’s contract expires in June 2016.
He is represented by ‘super agent’ Mino Raiola, who also looks
after Paul Pogba, Mario Balotelli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s
careers.
Earlier this month the 27-year-old was dropped for PSG’s
Champions League clash with Chelsea, after which he hit out
at Blanc, stating: "The coach did not tell me anything about
it. This came as a big surprise.
"This is not the right way to drop a player. It's not usual to
drop someone without explaining it, but apparently that's the
way things go here.
"It's a real shame that I did not feature from the start,
because these are the kinds of games you want to be part
of.”
